Box Trailers
There are usually loads of box trailers for sale on this page at any one time. They come in various sizes, from 3 feet x 3 feet to 3 x 4, to larger 6 feet x 4 feet trailers with wooden sides either painted or varnished. Sometimes the more modern box trailers are for sale with galvanised steel sides. Quite often the side nearest the back can hinge down to make it easier to load the trailer with its contents.
If you are looking for a box trailer, there are a few things to look out for before buying. Contact the seller and ask what they have been using the trailer for and if they know anything about its history. This makes a difference because if its only been used for light duties, i.e. garden cuttings like hedges or grass it will be in better shape than one used for disposing of brick walls or slaps from the old driveway!
You really want to establish that the trailer has been maintained. When were the tyres renewed? What about the wheel bearings - have they been greased recently? etc.
